Agrifuel = Biogas Innovation From Vegetable Waste For Renewable Energy
Kelompok: Ayuta Salsabila, Syaquenna Amabel Saputra, Afiqah Khaira Fauzah, R. Danendra Bramasta
Waste is a pretty big challenge, especially organic scraps from school kitchens. Instead of throwing it away, we can turn it into biogas! Biogas is made by breaking down organic material without oxygen in a special digester, which also returns nutrients to the earth. We’re working on a biogas reactor called AgriFuel that converts veggie waste into methane gas. This way, we can turn our waste into renewable energy and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. Let’s take this opportunity to create a greener community!
The materials used in the AgriFuel biogas project consist of vegetable waste generated from cooking activities in the school kitchen. Producing biogas is relatively simple. Below is an overview of the AgriFuel biogas production process:
1.Collecting Organic Waste
2.Shredding Waste
3.Mixing with Water
4.Fermentation in the Digester
5.Biogas Collection
6.Utilization of Biogas
7.Utilization of Fermentation Residue
